TRENDnet TEW-941APBO AX1800 Outdoor Access Point
Overview :
The TRENDnet TEW-941APBO is a high-speed, outdoor-rated wireless access point designed to establish reliable point-to-point or point-to-multi-point network bridges. Engineered for harsh environments, it serves businesses, campuses, and service providers needing to extend network connectivity between buildings or across large outdoor areas. The primary challenge it solves is delivering stable, high-throughput wireless links over distance, eliminating the need for costly physical cabling while providing robust performance. This device leverages the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard, offering concurrent dual-band AX1800 speeds up to 1201Mbps on the 5GHz band and 573Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. This capability ensures high-speed data transfer and enhanced connectivity for multiple wireless clients. The inclusion of a 2.5G PoE+ LAN port allows for flexible installation using a single Ethernet cable for both power and multi-gigabit backhaul, simplifying deployment and reducing infrastructure costs. Built with a rugged IP67 weather-rated housing, the TEW-941APBO is protected against dust and water immersion, making it ideal for pole or wall mounting in any outdoor setting. Its operational flexibility is enhanced by support for multiple modes, including Access Point, Client Bridge, and Repeater. Management can be handled locally or through TRENDnet Hive, a remote cloud management platform that streamlines configuration and monitoring for dispersed network assets.
