Overview
The HPE R7J27A is the Aruba AP-635, a high-performance, tri-band Wi-Fi 6E access point engineered for high-density indoor environments such as large public venues, university campuses, and enterprise offices. As a key component of the Aruba 630 Series, this AP is designed to alleviate network congestion and significantly increase wireless capacity by utilizing the 6 GHz band. It addresses the critical need for reliable, low-latency connectivity for an ever-increasing number of IoT and client devices. This access point leverages the full capabilities of the 802.11ax standard across the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and new 6 GHz bands, delivering a maximum aggregate data rate of 3.9 Gbps. A key technical feature is Aruba's ultra tri-band filtering, which isolates the 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands to prevent interference and unlock the full potential of Wi-Fi 6E. This results in wider channels and more available spectrum, translating to faster, more efficient performance for demanding applications like high-definition video and augmented reality. Physically designed for ceiling or wall mounting, the AP-635 provides flexible deployment options within corporate or campus infrastructures. It features dual 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports for high availability and hitless failover for both power and data. Management is streamlined through Aruba Central, a cloud-native platform that enables zero-touch provisioning, centralized policy enforcement, and AI-powered network optimization, simplifying operations for network administrators.
