The StarTech 2PASTSC-WALL-MOUNT is a specialized 2U vertical wall-mount rack designed for environments where floor space is unavailable or standard horizontal racks are impractical. By mounting equipment vertically against the wall, this rack minimizes the physical footprint of networking hardware, making it an ideal solution for small offices, retail backrooms, or wiring closets. It is engineered to support standard 19-inch rack-mount equipment, including patch panels, shallow-depth switches, and power distribution units (PDUs).

The rack features a low-profile design that projects only 4.2 inches from the wall when unpopulated. It is constructed from heavy-duty 14-gauge cold-rolled steel, providing a static weight capacity of 125lb (56.7kg). The mounting rails are pre-tapped with 12-24 threads, eliminating the need for cage nuts and streamlining the installation of rack-mount hardware. The open-frame architecture ensures unrestricted passive airflow, which is critical for maintaining optimal operating temperatures for networking gear.

For deployment flexibility, the unit includes three 10mm wall-mounting holes spaced 16 inches apart, aligning perfectly with standard wood studs found in commercial and residential construction.
