Overview :

The StarTech SM2DUPE11 is a standalone 1-to-1 drive duplicator and secure eraser designed for IT professionals requiring hardware-level cloning and sanitization of storage media without a host PC. It supports both M.2 NVMe/AHCI and M.2 SATA, as well as 2.5″ and 3.5″ SATA HDD/SSD media, making it suitable for data center staging, RMA preparation, forensic imaging, and secure data destruction workflows.

Cloning throughput reaches up to ~7.5 GB per minute, enabling efficient duplication of drives during provisioning or decommissioning tasks. The unit features an intuitive button interface with on-screen display (OSD) and LED indicators for process status and errors.

Deployment is rack-agnostic and works as a bench-top device; no software drivers or host connection are required. While excellent for drive cloning and sanitization, it is not a multi-target duplicator (1:many) and is not intended for continuous high-volume manufacturing lines.
