The Eaton Tripp Lite Series BC850RNC is a compact, low-profile 850VA / 450W 120V standby uninterruptible power supply (UPS) equipped with native cloud connectivity via an integrated RJ45 Ethernet port. Engineered for network edge locations, retail point-of-sale (POS) systems, automated kiosks, and light industrial configurations, this power protection unit safeguards mission-critical local infrastructure against brownouts, voltage surges, blackouts, and line noise.

Equipped with five NEMA 5-15R outlets and a 190-joule surge suppression rating, the BC850RNC provides deterministic battery backup power using a reliable, user-replaceable internal valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) battery. When utility power drops, the system transfers to a pulse-width modulated (PWM) sine wave battery mode in 4 to 6 milliseconds, maintaining continuous uptime for connected client equipment. Remote management is driven by Eaton’s Brightlayer cloud platform, enabling administrators to remotely push configurations, audit battery status, mute alarms, or cycle outlet banks from a single centralized dashboard.

The mechanical design supports flexible, space-constrained edge environments. The chassis features integrated bottom mounting points spaced in a standard 100 x 100 mm VESA pattern, enabling direct attachment to the back of digital signage, monitors, or inside compact retail counters. Built with an internal 10A resettable circuit breaker and automatic restart capabilities upon AC restoration, this unit eliminates the necessity for manual field service intervention following extended utility power outages.
