Overview
The Eaton EBP-1002 is a sealed lead-acid replacement battery cartridge designed for internal use in select Eaton 5P and 5PX uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems. It is deployed by IT infrastructure engineers and facilities maintenance teams when the original UPS battery has reached end-of-life or can no longer sustain the required backup runtime. The EBP-1002 restores the UPS to its designed uptime capability without changing the UPS's rated power capacity.
This battery pack provides a 12 V DC output and is engineered as a direct drop-in replacement for compatible Eaton 5P/5PX rack/tower UPS models in the 2000 VA-2200 VA class. It retains the original runtime characteristics of the UPS and must be installed inside the UPS chassis, integrating with the UPS's existing battery harness.
The EBP-1002 is appropriate for environments such as branch office IT closets, server racks in small-to-medium data centers, and edge computing sites where a compact UPS supports key network, compute, or storage infrastructure. It does not change UPS form factor or power rating and is intended for single-phase systems.

This battery pack should not be used as an external runtime extension module (EBM) or in UPS series other than specified 5P/5PX models, as it is sized, rated, and electrically configured only for those internal battery compartments.
