The APC SRT48RMBP is an external rackmount battery pack designed to extend backup runtime for compatible APC Smart‑UPS On‑Line 1 kVA and 1.5 kVA units that use a 48 V DC battery bus. It is deployed by IT operations and data center teams to scale UPS runtime for critical loads during utility outages, enabling orderly shutdown and increased uptime.

This external pack uses sealed lead‑acid (VRLA) battery technology with maintenance‑free, leak‑proof construction and hot‑swappable modules to support service without interrupting connected loads.

Packaged in a 2 U rackmount form factor, the SRT48RMBP integrates rack mounting brackets and documentation to simplify installation in standard 19″ server racks beside the UPS.
