Ubiquiti UA-SK-US – UniFi Access Starter Kit for Single-Door Access Control
Overview
The Ubiquiti UA-SK-US is a UniFi Access Starter Kit designed to provide the core hardware for a single-door access control installation. The kit combines a UniFi Access Hub, one UniFi Access Reader Pro, one UniFi Access Reader Lite, and 20 UniFi Access Cards.
The system is designed for access management through UniFi Access and supports common electric bolts, electric strikes, and magnetic locks. The Access Hub provides the door-control interfaces, while the two included readers provide access authentication at the door.
Technical Information
The UniFi Access Hub uses 802.3bt PoE for power and provides four 1 Gbps Ethernet interfaces. It supports request-to-exit, request-to-enter, remote release, and door-position inputs, together with dry and powered relay outputs for access-control hardware.
The included Access Reader Pro and Access Reader Lite use 802.3af PoE and provide Ethernet and Bluetooth connectivity. Both readers support 13.56 MHz NFC credentials with a read range of less than 30 mm.
Access Credentials
The included UniFi Access Cards use NFC technology and are designed for UniFi Access. The readers support ISO 14443A, ISO 14443B, and ISO 15693 standards, along with NFC Tag 1–5, MIFARE Classic, MIFARE Plus, MIFARE Ultralight, and MIFARE DESFire EV1/EV2 technologies.
The Access Reader Pro additionally integrates a camera with a 147.5° ±3° viewing angle, while the Access Reader Lite provides a compact NFC and Bluetooth reader design.
Compatibility
The UA-SK-US is designed for UniFi Access installations and supports electric bolts, electric strikes, and magnetic locks. The access system is managed through the UniFi Access application and requires compatible UniFi Access infrastructure for operation.
The included hub and readers are powered using PoE. A PoE switch is not included with the starter kit.
