The HPE JL309A is a 100 Gigabit-Ethernet QSFP28 optical transceiver built for high-density, short-reach multimode-fiber links—typically between switches, aggregation to core in data-centers or campus backbones. If you’re running a 100 G capable switch and need a reliable link over multimode fiber, this module provides up to 100 m reach on OM4 or around 70 m on OM3 fiber. It uses the SR4 (4-lane of 25 Gb) approach over a 12-fibre MPO connector and supports digital optical monitoring (DOM). It suits deployments where you want 100 Gb links without committing to single-mode or long-haul optics.
