The Axiom JL739A-AX is a bi-directional 10GBASE-BX40-U SFP+ transceiver module designed to provide high-speed 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over long distances up to 40 km. Engineered for Aruba-compatible switches and routers, this transceiver enables robust fiber optic links ideal for enterprise and data center network infrastructures. This transceiver uses bi-directional transmission technology, allowing data to be sent and received on a single strand of single-mode fiber but at different wavelengths — 1270 nm for transmission and 1330 nm for reception. This reduces fiber cabling requirements while delivering full 10G performance. It complies with IEEE 802.3ae standards, ensuring interoperability and reliability within 10G Ethernet networks.
