Detailed Specifications
Extreme Networks 10502 25GbE Optical Transceiver
Overview :
The Extreme Networks 10502 is a 25GbE SFP28 SR-Lite optical transceiver designed for high-speed data center connectivity. Optimized for short-reach multi-mode fiber (MMF) applications, it provides an efficient bridge between server interfaces and top-of-rack switches.
This transceiver utilizes 850nm laser technology to support 25 Gigabit Ethernet throughput. It is specifically engineered to operate over OM3 and OM4 fiber infrastructure. Deployment distance varies based on Forward Error Correction (FEC) settings on the host switch, making it a versatile choice for optimized leaf-spine fabric architectures.
It is intended for use in Extreme Networks switching platforms requiring SFP28 connectivity. It should not be used in environments exceeding the rated distance for the specific FEC configuration, as this will lead to increased bit error rates or link failure.
Key Features :
Optimized 25G SR-Lite performance for short-range MMF links.
Flexible reach via FEC settings (up to 100m on OM4 fiber).
Standard SFP28 form factor ensures high port density compatibility.
Integrated Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) for link diagnostics.
850nm wavelength for cost-effective multi-mode data transmission.
