The 0231A0A8-ST is a professional-grade SFP+ fiber transceiver module specifically engineered to be 100% compatible with HPE and Aruba switches and routers. This module serves as a reliable alternative to the OEM 0231A0A8, having been programmed and tested to ensure seamless hardware integration and performance parity within enterprise network infrastructures.

This transceiver facilitates 10Gbps high-speed data transmission over single-mode fiber (SMF) using a 1310nm wavelength. It is optimized for long-range connectivity, supporting link distances of up to 10 km (6.2 miles), making it the industry standard for campus backbones, high-bandwidth building-to-building uplinks, and long-haul data center interconnects.

Equipped with Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM), the module provides real-time reporting of critical operational parameters such as internal temperature, optical transmit power, and laser bias current. The hot-swappable design allows for deployment and maintenance without system interruption. This module is restricted to single-mode fiber infrastructure and is not compatible with multi-mode fiber (MMF) cabling.
