Overview

The HPE P9H30A is a hot‑pluggable SFP28 optical transceiver module designed for 32 Gb/s Fibre Channel (32GFC) links in enterprise SAN fabric environments. It uses an 850 nm VCSEL short‑wave transmitter over multimode fibre, supporting link distances up to ~100 m on OM4 fibre. The module fits standard SFP28 slots found in switches, HBAs and storage systems, enabling migration from lower speeds while supporting backward compatibility to 16/8 Gb/s FC. It is suitable for data‑centre storage fabrics, high‑density server connectivity and SAN uplinks requiring high throughput and low latency.
