The HPE Aruba 1990-4116 is a 1 Gb/s LC-connector SFP (mini-GBIC) optical transceiver designed for network engineers deploying Gigabit Ethernet links over single-mode fibre. It supports 1000Base-LX operation at a wavelength of 1310 nm and reaches up to approximately 10 km, solving the need to extend gigabit connectivity beyond short-reach copper or multimode links. This module is suitable for campus backbone, data-centre uplinks or inter-building links rather than access-layer switching in branch offices.
