Overview

The HPE Q6Q68A is a half-height LTO‑8 Ultrium 30750 SAS tape drive, intended as an upgrade module for HPE StoreEver MSL tape libraries. It supports a 6 Gb/s SAS interface and delivers up to 300 MB/s native throughput, enabling reliable, high-capacity backup and archival workflows. This drive supports both LTO‑7 and LTO‑8 media and includes AES-256 encryption to secure data. It’s compatible with MSL libraries such as MSL2024, MSL4048, MSL3040, and MSL6480, making it well-suited to enterprise-scale, long‑term storage usage.
