The HP J9022A is a 48-port, managed Layer-2 switch designed for network engineers to deploy in medium-to-large access layer or wiring-closet environments. It provides 44 auto-sensing 10/100/1000 Base-T RJ-45 ports plus 4 dual-personality ports that support either 10/100/1000 Base-T or mini-GBIC fibre interfaces. With a switching capacity of 96 Gbps and latency under 5.4 µs, the unit handles full-wire speed at 64-byte packets. It fits in a 1U 19-inch rack or sits on a shelf, making it suitable for enterprise wiring closets or campus edge aggregation. Integration is supported via Web-GUI, CLI, SNMP and works with HP ProCurve Manager tools for device and traffic management.
