Overview

The HPE J9777A (Aruba 2530‑8G) is a compact, fully managed edge switch designed for IT teams operating small to midsize enterprise or branch‑office networks. With eight 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ‑45 access ports and two additional dual‑personality ports that can serve either as RJ‑45 or SFP fibre uplinks, it provides flexibility for mixed copper/fibre connectivity. The switch supports Layer‑2 features such as VLANs, link‑aggregation (LACP), ACLs and IPv6 host support, enabling network segmentation and access control in a single‑rack environment. Its rack‑mountable 1U form factor and low power consumption make it suitable for wiring closets, branch racks or edge‑locations where space and heat are constrained. Remote management is provided via web GUI, CLI and SNMP, offering integration into existing IT management frameworks.
