Overview

The HPE S0U68A is a modular line‑card designed for the Aruba CX 5420 switch chassis. It provides 8 SFP+ ports capable of running at either 1 Gb or 10 Gb using LRM optics, making it ideal for fiber‑based uplinks or access modules. As part of the CX 5420 chassis, this module leverages the Gen‑7 ASIC, delivering wire‑speed Layer‑3 routing, VSX high‑availability, and full programmability through AOS‑CX. It’s built for dense mid‑to‑large campus or branch deployments where fiber connectivity is needed, without wasting chassis slots on redundant copper. The 4U chassis also supports high availability with redundant PSUs and hot-swappable modules.
