Overview
The Ubiquiti ECS-Aggregation is an Enterprise Campus Layer 3 aggregation switch designed for high-capacity enterprise network infrastructure. It provides 48 25G SFP28 ports supporting 25G and 10G connections, plus six 100G QSFP28 ports supporting 100G and 40G connections.
With 3.6 Tbps switching capacity, 1.8 Tbps total non-blocking throughput, and a forwarding rate of 2.4 billion packets per second, ECS-Aggregation is designed to aggregate high-speed access and distribution links in enterprise campus networks and data center environments.
Technical Information
The switch supports Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, including inter-VLAN routing, static routing, DHCP server and relay functions, LACP port aggregation, and Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation (MC-LAG). Additional capabilities include STP/RSTP, IGMP snooping, VLANs, ACLs, port isolation, port mirroring, jumbo frames, and DHCP snooping.
Etherlighting™ provides visual port identification on supported SFP28 and QSFP28 interfaces. The 1U, full-depth rackmount chassis includes a 1.3-inch touchscreen, five hot-swappable fan modules, and two hot-swappable 550W AC/DC power modules.
Compatibility
ECS-Aggregation uses SFP28 and QSFP28 interfaces for supported optical transceivers, direct-attach cables, and compatible network connections. Confirm the supported speed, transceiver type, cable specification, and link distance for each connection before deployment.
The switch is managed through UniFi Network and requires UniFi Network version 8.5.6 or later according to the manufacturer’s published technical specifications. Its four-post rack installation supports rack post depths from 650 to 1,000 mm.
