Overview :

The APC NET7 is a surge protector power strip designed to protect electrical and electronic devices from transient voltage spikes and surges on 120 V AC circuits. It is used by IT support staff, network administrators, and office technicians where multiple devices need basic surge suppression on a single supply.

It offers seven NEMA 5‑15R outlets on a single strip and integrates surge suppression components to absorb surge energy, protecting connected equipment from damaging over‑voltages. Warning indicators provide basic status on protection health and wiring conditions.

Physically, the device is a desktop or floor‑mount power strip with a right‑angle NEMA 5‑15P plug and a ~6 ft (1.83 m) power cord, suitable for workstations, small IT closets, or light‑duty power distribution where multiple outlets are needed.

The NET7 unit includes surge suppression, EMI/RFI filtering, and status LEDs but has no integrated power metering or UPS function. It should not be deployed as the primary power protection for server racks or critical infrastructure where certified rack PDUs or UPS units are required.
