Overview
The Tripp Lite TLP606RNET Protect It! is a six-outlet surge protector designed to protect home, office, workstation and A/V equipment from AC power surges, spikes and line noise. It combines 1440-joule surge suppression with rotating AC outlets and protection for connected telephone, Ethernet and coaxial signal lines.
AC Surge Protection
The TLP606RNET provides 1440 joules of AC surge suppression with protection across hot-neutral and common-mode neutral-ground and hot-ground connections. Its suppression response time is less than 1 nanosecond. A 15A resettable circuit breaker provides overload protection, while automatic shutoff disconnects the protected outlets if the surge-protection circuitry becomes incapacitated.
Rotating Outlets and Power Connection
Six NEMA 5-15R AC outlets are provided, with four rotating receptacles and two fixed outlets. The rotating design helps accommodate plugs and power adapters in different orientations, while two outlets are spaced to accommodate bulky transformer-style plugs. The unit connects to a standard 120V AC receptacle through a 6-foot cord with a right-angle NEMA 5-15P plug.
Network, Telephone and Coax Protection
In addition to AC protection, the TLP606RNET provides one line of telephone/DSL protection and one line of surge-protected coaxial protection. The coax protection supports cable, satellite and antenna connections with up to 2.2 GHz bandwidth. Ethernet protection supports Fast Ethernet connections up to 100 Mbps. The package includes the corresponding 6-foot coaxial, telephone and Ethernet cables.
Filtering and Diagnostics
Integrated EMI/RFI filtering helps reduce disruptive electrical line noise. Two diagnostic LEDs indicate protected and grounded status, allowing the operating condition of the surge protector to be checked at a glance.
