Overview
The Tripp Lite TLP725 Protect It! is a seven-outlet AC surge protector designed for computers, peripherals, network equipment and other home or office electronics. It combines 1080-joule surge suppression with a 25-foot power cord, diagnostic protection status indication and overload protection.
Surge Protection and Noise Filtering
The TLP725 provides 1080 joules of AC surge suppression with protection across hot-neutral, neutral-ground and hot-ground modes. Its suppression response time is less than 1 nanosecond, with a 400V UL 1449 let-through rating. Integrated EMI/RFI filtering attenuates line noise by up to 20 dB.
Outlets and Power Control
Seven NEMA 5-15R receptacles provide connections for standard 120V equipment. One outlet is spaced for bulky transformer plugs so that larger adapters can be used without blocking neighboring receptacles. An illuminated power switch provides centralized control, while the integrated 15A resettable circuit breaker provides overload protection.
Diagnostic and Installation Features
A built-in diagnostic LED indicates that surge protection is present. Automatic shutoff disconnects power if the protection circuitry is incapacitated. Keyhole mounting slots on the underside allow the unit to be mounted to a suitable wall or desk surface. The 25-foot, 14 AWG SJT cord provides extended reach from the AC receptacle.
