Overview :
The Eaton Tripp Lite Series B110-SP-CAT-OD2 is an IP66-rated outdoor in-line surge protector engineered to shield Category 5e and Category 6 copper network lines against electrostatic discharge (ESD), lightning-induced surges, and cable discharge events. Designed for outdoor surveillance cameras, wireless access points, PoE access terminals, and building-to-building Ethernet runs, it preserves network hardware integrity in harsh environments.
Featuring an IP66 weatherproof enclosure with high-performance gas discharge tubes (GDT) and silicone weather-sealing grommets, the B110-SP-CAT-OD2 supports high-speed Gigabit Data pass-through (10/100/1000 Mbps) as well as Power over Ethernet (PoE, PoE+, and 802.3bt 4PPoE up to 90W) without restricting voltage or power flow to end devices.
Deployable on exterior walls, pole mounts, or outdoor equipment enclosures. Includes a dedicated heavy-gauge external grounding wire to safely channel high-voltage transients directly to earth ground. Do NOT deploy without properly bonding the ground wire to an established earth ground rod or grounding busbar.
