Overview
The Ubiquiti WM-W WiFiMan Wizard is a portable wireless network diagnostic tool designed for Wi-Fi spectrum scanning and RF analysis. It provides Bluetooth management, a rechargeable Li-ion battery, and scanning across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi bands.
Wireless Analysis
The WM-W scans the 2.4–2.5 GHz and 5.15–5.85 GHz frequency ranges. Its amplitude measurement range is -96 dBm to 0 dBm with 1 dBm amplitude resolution, allowing technicians to inspect wireless RF conditions in supported bands.
Power and Management
The device uses a rechargeable 3.7 V DC, 300 mAh Li-ion battery and provides Bluetooth management. USB-C charging is supported at 5 V DC and 1 A.
Key Features
- 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi spectrum scanning
- -96 dBm to 0 dBm amplitude measurement range
- 1 dBm amplitude resolution
- Bluetooth management interface
- Rechargeable Li-ion battery with USB-C charging
Applications
- Wi-Fi RF environment analysis
- Wireless network troubleshooting
- 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz spectrum inspection
- On-site wireless deployment diagnostics
DC Supplies Product Note
The WM-W is designed as a portable diagnostic instrument rather than a wireless access point. Its dual-band scan range and -96 dBm measurement floor make it suitable for inspecting RF conditions before or during Wi-Fi deployment work.
