Overview

The APC SMT1500RM2UC is a 1,500 VA / 1,000 W line-interactive UPS in a 2U rackmount form factor. It’s designed to protect servers, network gear, telecom systems, and other critical electronics in racks or compact infrastructure environments. With AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulation), it corrects undervoltage and overvoltage conditions without switching to battery mode, which extends battery life. The UPS outputs a pure sine wave and features a SmartConnect port plus a SmartSlot interface for remote monitoring or management card add-ons. It comes with 6 NEMA 5-15R battery backup outlets, LCD console for status and diagnostics, and includes rack mounting rails, power cable, and installation guide. The SMT1500RM2UC also supports typical operation in environments between 0 °C and 40 °C. With a 680 J surge energy rating and transfer time of 6 ms (typical) / 10 ms (maximum), it balances protection with efficiency in real-world deployments.
