Overview :

The APC SRT5KXLT-IEC is a 5 kVA/4.8 kW double-conversion on-line uninterruptible power supply (UPS) engineered to deliver continuous, conditioned AC power and outage protection in 208 V single-phase environments. It is selected by infrastructure engineers and data center teams to maintain uptime for servers, storage systems, and network hardware through mains disturbances and outages with zero transfer time.

This UPS provides a pure sine-wave output with a wide input voltage range and integrated internal bypass to keep critical loads online during maintenance or overload conditions. Management and monitoring are supported via a built-in Network Management Card and SmartSlot expansion for optional interface cards.

The product ships in a convertible rack/tower form factor; rackmount installation requires optional rail kits. IEC-standard output receptacles match modern data center and enterprise power cords, reducing adapter needs and improving reliability.

Battery runtime at rated load is measured in minutes, adequate to bridge to generator or extended battery solutions; external battery packs can be added for longer backup coverage. This UPS is not a standalone generator and should be paired with appropriate upstream backup sources.

A practical deployment example is sustaining a 208 V server rack during utility outages while waiting for generator startup, ensuring continuous operation of virtualization hosts and SAN appliances. Unit suitability is limited to 208 V ecosystems and does not natively support 120 V without step-down conversion.
