Overview :

The APC SMX1500RMI2U is a line-interactive uninterruptible power supply designed to provide regulated 230V power and battery backup for rack-mounted IT infrastructure. It is typically deployed by network engineers and infrastructure teams protecting servers, storage arrays, routers, and switching equipment where electrical stability is required to maintain uptime. The UPS delivers conditioned sine-wave power while maintaining battery backup capability during outages, allowing systems to continue operating briefly or perform controlled shutdown procedures.

The unit provides a rated capacity of 1500VA / 1200W and operates within a single-phase 230V electrical ecosystem. It connects to upstream power using an IEC C14 input connector and distributes power through eight IEC C13 battery-backed outlets, enabling multiple rack devices to be protected within the same UPS. Automatic voltage regulation compensates for under-voltage and over-voltage conditions without switching to battery power, preserving battery capacity for actual outages.
