Overview

The APC SRTL2K2RM1UNC is a double‑conversion online uninterruptible power supply engineered to deliver continuous conditioned power to critical IT infrastructure. It is deployed by infrastructure engineers and IT operations teams protecting servers, storage arrays, network switches, and virtualization hosts that cannot tolerate electrical disturbances or brief outages. The online topology continuously regenerates clean AC power, isolating connected equipment from utility volatility, frequency fluctuations, and brownouts without transfer delays.

This system provides 2200VA / 1950W output capacity with a pure sine wave output compatible with enterprise‑class power supplies using active power factor correction. It is designed for 120V power environments and accepts utility power via a NEMA 5‑20P input plug. Output power is distributed through a mix of NEMA 5‑20R and NEMA L5‑20R receptacles, supporting diverse rack‑mounted loads and power distribution units commonly found in network and server racks.

The chassis supports both rack and tower installation, enabling flexible deployment in standard 19‑inch server cabinets, network closets, telecommunications rooms, and edge infrastructure racks where high‑availability power protection is required. In rack mode the UPS occupies 2U of rack height, allowing integration alongside servers and networking gear without excessive space consumption. Optional external battery modules can be added to extend runtime for larger loads or longer outage tolerance.

Management and monitoring are provided through integrated network management capabilities. Ethernet connectivity and a SmartSlot expansion interface allow remote visibility, alerting, and automated shutdown integration with server and virtualization management systems. Local monitoring is supported via front‑panel LCD status indicators, enabling rapid assessment of load levels, battery health, and power events.

A typical deployment includes a rack containing multiple virtualization hosts, storage nodes, and core network infrastructure where conditioned power and runtime support are essential. In this configuration the UPS maintains clean output and delivers sufficient backed‑up power to allow workload migration, controlled shutdown, or high‑availability procedures.

This model is not designed for simple desktop or small office workstation protection. Lower‑capacity UPS systems are more appropriate for non‑critical environments with modest load requirements.
