Overview :
The HP JL160A is a 1-Gigabit small-form-pluggable (SFP) copper transceiver designed for network engineers deploying Gigabit Ethernet links over UTP copper cable. It supports 10/100/1000 Mbps auto-negotiation and uses a standard RJ-45 interface, allowing insertion into SFP slots while using CAT5e/CAT6 cabling up to 100 m. The module is suited for access layer switches, uplinks and data-centres where fibre is not required or legacy copper cabling is available. It fits into SFP cages on compatible HP/Aruba and other vendor switches and is hot-pluggable, enabling field replacements with minimal disruption.
