Overview :

The Eaton N286-01GTX is a Cisco GLC-T compatible 1000Base-TX copper RJ45 SFP Mini Transceiver designed to add a copper Gigabit Ethernet connection to compatible network switches, servers and other networking equipment with an SFP interface. Eaton documentation identifies the product within the Tripp Lite series.

The transceiver provides data transfer rates of up to 1 Gbps and supports auto-negotiation through its 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 port. It supports Cat5e and Cat6 twisted-pair cabling with transmission distances up to 328.08 ft. (100 m). Automatic MDI/MDI-X crossover eliminates the need for special crossover cables.

The N286-01GTX is hot-pluggable, allowing installation or removal without shutting down the network equipment. Its metallic housing helps reduce electromagnetic interference and power dissipation, and the module complies with Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) standards. The model is designed as a functional equivalent to the Cisco GLC-T transceiver.
