Overview
The Eaton N286-10G-SR-C is a Tripp Lite by Eaton Cisco-compatible SFP+ fiber optic transceiver designed for 10 Gigabit Ethernet network connections. It supports 10GBase-SR, uses multimode fiber, and provides transmission distances up to 400 m (1312 ft.) at an 850 nm wavelength. Eaton specifies the module as functionally equivalent to the Cisco SFP-10G-SR transceiver and manufactured to meet or exceed Cisco specifications.
The transceiver uses an SFP+ male interface for the network device and an LC duplex female optical port for connection to compatible multimode fiber cabling. It is MSA compliant, requires no driver, and supports Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) for real-time monitoring of parameters such as temperature, input/output power and supply voltage.
The N286-10G-SR-C is hot-swappable, allowing installation or removal without shutting down or rebooting the compatible network equipment. It is intended for Cisco-compatible routers, switches and servers operating within the specified commercial temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
