Overview :
The NETGEAR AGM722F is a ProSafe Gigabit Interface Converter (GBIC) module providing 1000BASE-LX fiber connectivity for compatible NETGEAR managed switches. It uses an SC connector and 9 µm single-mode fiber.
The module supports 1 Gbps Gigabit Ethernet and a maximum operating distance of 10 km. NETGEAR specifies IEEE 802.3z and 1000BASE-LX operation with forced full-duplex mode.
It is intended for legacy NETGEAR equipment with compatible GBIC slots, including the FSM726, FSM726S, FSM750S, GSM712, and GSM712F. It should not be selected for modern SFP/SFP+ slots unless the host equipment specifically supports this GBIC form factor.
