Overview
The NETGEAR SPR-GS516UP-36 corresponds to the GS516UP 16-port Gigabit unmanaged PoE switch. It is designed for deployments that need both network connectivity and higher-power Ethernet delivery for wireless access points, IP cameras, VoIP devices, and other powered endpoints.
The switch provides 16 × 10/100/1000Mbps RJ45 ports. Eight ports support IEEE 802.3at PoE+ up to 30W, while eight ports support IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ Type 3 up to 60W per port. The total PoE budget is 380W, with a 32Gbps non-blocking switching bandwidth.
The metal chassis supports desktop or rackmount installation. Plug-and-play operation makes it appropriate for branch networks, network closets, surveillance systems, and edge deployments where centralized management is not required.
It should not be selected when advanced Layer 2/Layer 3 management, VLAN configuration, or centralized switch administration is required. It is also unsuitable when the connected PoE load exceeds the 380W total budget.
