The NETGEAR XS508TM is an 8-port 10G/Multi-Gigabit Smart Managed Switch designed for IT teams, network engineers, and system integrators seeking high-bandwidth edge and access layer connectivity.It solves network bottlenecks caused by high-throughput WiFi 6/6E/7 access points, NAS storage systems, and workstations by delivering flexible 100M/1G/2.5G/5G/10G Ethernet speeds over standard Category copper cabling without forcing full re-cabling projects.
Engineered with 8 Multi-Gigabit RJ-45 copper ports and 2 dedicated 10G SFP+ fiber ports, the switch provides a 200 Gbps non-blocking switching fabric to sustain concurrent full-duplex speed across all connections.Internal AC power delivering a maximum consumption of 32.7 Watts combined with dual internal cooling fans maintains continuous high-volume data traffic operating efficiency.
Deployment options include 1U rackmount, wall-mount, or desktop installations, making it versatile for edge deployments, data center top-of-rack expansion, branch offices, and server rooms.It features comprehensive Layer 2+ and Lite Layer 3 capabilities, including static routing, dynamic VLAN assignment, MLD snooping, and robust QoS controls.
This switch is compatible with standardized 10G SFP+ optical transceivers, direct attach copper (DAC) cables, and Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A structured cabling setups.Do NOT deployment where High-Power PoE (Power over Ethernet) is required directly from the switch ports, as the XS508TM is a non-PoE model designed strictly for data transport and requires external power adapters for powered devices.
