Overview :

The NETGEAR SPR-XS508M-36 is an 8-port 10G Multi-Gigabit Ethernet unmanaged switch engineered for data center, edge, and workstation networking environments. It resolves network bottlenecks between high-performance storage arrays (NAS), application servers, and wireless access points by offering immediate 10-Gigabit speeds without requiring software setup or network management configuration.

The switch features 7 multi-speed copper RJ-45 ports supporting 100M, 1G, 2.5G, 5G, and 10G speeds alongside 1 dedicated 10G/1G SFP+ fiber combo port for uplinks. With 160 Gbps non-blocking switching bandwidth, it allows mixed-speed device connections over standard Cat5e wiring to prevent expensive cable upgrades. Power delivery relies on an internal power supply consuming up to 39W.

Designed for flexible installation in 19-inch equipment racks (1U form factor) or desktop placements, it suits small server rooms, laboratory setups, and rack-edge deployments. An integrated active fan maintains cool operation while keeping acoustics low.

Fully compatible with standard IEEE Ethernet protocols. Do NOT use this switch if your deployment requires VLAN segmentation, port trunking, Quality of Service (QoS) prioritization rules, or managed Layer 2 traffic controls.
