The NETGEAR SPR-XS508M-12 is an 8-port 10G Multi-Gigabit Ethernet unmanaged switch designed for data center, edge, and high-density network environments. It solves bandwidth bottlenecks between network-attached storage (NAS), servers, and access points by providing instant 10-Gigabit connectivity without requiring complex configuration or Layer 2/Layer 3 management overhead.

Equipped with 7 multi-speed copper RJ-45 ports supporting 100M, 1G, 2.5G, 5G, and 10G auto-negotiation, alongside 1 dedicated 10G/1G SFP+ fiber combo uplink port, this unit delivers up to 160 Gbps of non-blocking switching bandwidth. The multi-speed capabilities allow 2.5G and 5G speeds over standard Cat5e cabling, avoiding costly infrastructure recabling. Power consumption tops out at 39W with an internal power supply.

Designed for deployment in standard 19-inch equipment racks (1U form factor) or desktop applications, it is built for edge racks, workstation clusters, and small server closets. It operates quietly with a single low-noise active fan.

Fully compatible with standard IEEE 802.3 Ethernet protocols across all multi-gig speeds. Do NOT use this switch if your deployment requires VLAN segmentation, port trunking, Quality of Service (QoS) customization, or managed Layer 2 security controls, as it operates strictly as an unmanaged plug-and-play device.
