HPE P83279-005 ProLiant DL20 Gen11 1U Rack Server
Overview
The HPE P83279-005 is a specific configuration of the ProLiant DL20 Gen11, a dense and versatile 1U rack server designed for a wide range of workloads. It serves as an ideal entry-level server for small to mid-sized businesses, branch offices, and edge computing environments. This platform solves the need for enterprise-grade reliability, security, and management capabilities within a compact, short-depth form factor that fits in space-constrained locations. This server blends performance and efficiency by integrating a 4-core Intel Xeon E-2400 series processor with 16 GB of high-speed DDR5 memory. This combination provides ample processing power for file and print services, web hosting, and light virtualization tasks. The inclusion of two 1 TB SATA hard drives in a Large Form Factor (LFF) chassis offers a solid starting point for data storage, which can be managed effectively by the embedded Intel VROC SATA software RAID controller. With a chassis depth of just 15.05 inches, the ProLiant DL20 Gen11 can be deployed in shallow racks where other servers cannot. Management is streamlined through the embedded HPE iLO 6 silicon root of trust, which provides secure, out-of-band remote management to simplify server setup, health monitoring, and firmware updates. This allows IT staff to maintain the server from anywhere, reducing the need for physical site visits and improving operational efficiency.
