APC AR4012A NetShelter Soundproof 12U Rack Enclosure
Overview
The APC AR4012A NetShelter Soundproof enclosure is a 12U server rack designed to seamlessly integrate IT infrastructure into non-traditional data center environments such as commercial offices, retail spaces, and classrooms. This specialized rack addresses the challenge of deploying critical IT equipment in noise-sensitive areas by significantly reducing operational sound, making it an ideal solution where aesthetics and quiet operation are paramount.
Engineered for performance, this soundproof enclosure achieves an impressive 18.5 dB(A) noise reduction, effectively lowering server fan noise to ambient background levels. It incorporates thermostat-controlled cabinet fans that efficiently dissipate up to 1.2kW of heat, ensuring optimal operating temperatures for sensitive gear. Integrated cable management channels and brush strips maintain organized wiring and unobstructed airflow, contributing to overall system reliability.
For convenience, the unit includes a power block with four 5-15 outlets to power internal devices. Designed for flexible deployment, the AR4012A comes equipped with casters and leveling feet for easy positioning and secure installation. Its aesthetically pleasing maple finish allows it to blend discreetly into various office décors, replacing the need for a dedicated server room or closet. The enclosure provides secure locking front, rear, and side door access, safeguarding valuable IT assets while maintaining accessibility for authorized personnel.
