Overview

The Eaton P606-006, from the Tripp Lite by Eaton series, is a 6-ft (1.83 m) IEEE 1284 AB Parallel Printer Cable designed to connect computers with a DB25 female parallel port to printers equipped with a Centronics 36 female parallel port.

The cable uses DB25 male and Centronics 36 male connectors and supports high-speed IEEE 1284 bidirectional communication. This allows compatible printers to send status and error information back to the connected computer.

The P606-006 uses molded connectors with integral strain relief, nickel-plated connector shells, gold-plated copper contacts, and double shielding using foil and braid. Its low-capacitance, impedance-matched twisted-pair conductors help reduce crosstalk and transmission problems.
