Featuring an 8-pin RJ-45 male plug on one end and an 8-pin RJ-45 female jack on the other, this compact 15 cm (5.91 inch) UTP copper adapter translates classic Opengear pinouts to Cisco straight configurations.It allows direct connection using standard Cat5 UTP patch cables without custom wiring.
Engineered for deployment within server racks, data centers, and enterprise network closets. It connects managed Cisco switches or Sun servers directly to older generation Opengear console management hardware.
Fully compatible with legacy Opengear console servers utilizing classic pinout architecture (such as the IM4200 and CM4100 series) connecting to Cisco/Sun gear. Do not use this adapter on modern Opengear hardware natively wired for Cisco straight (X2) pinouts, as it will cause signal mismatch.
