Netgear CAX80-100NAS DOCSIS 3.1 WiFi 6 Cable Modem Router
Overview
The Netgear CAX80-100NAS is a high-performance integrated networking gateway designed for small-to-medium business (SMB) environments, remote branch offices, and high-demand professional workspaces. By consolidating a DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem with an AX6000 WiFi 6 router into a single chassis, it reduces hardware footprint and simplifies infrastructure management. This unit is engineered to handle multi-gigabit internet tiers, providing the necessary throughput for data-intensive operations such as 4K/8K video conferencing, large-scale cloud backups, and concurrent SaaS application usage.
From a deployment perspective, the CAX80 serves as a robust edge device for cable-based ISP connections. It features a 1.8GHz quad-core processor to maintain low-latency performance under heavy traffic loads. Connectivity is anchored by a dedicated 2.5Gbps Multi-Gigabit Ethernet port and four Gigabit LAN ports, two of which support link aggregation to provide a 2Gbps wired pipe to local storage or switches. This hardware is certified for major US cable providers, offering a reliable alternative to ISP-leased equipment while providing granular control over network security via WPA3 and Netgear Armor integration.Key Features
