Overview

The RBC11 is a replacement battery cartridge intended for use in select APC UPS systems where internal battery cells require service. It restores backup runtime capacity by replacing depleted sealed lead‑acid cells with a maintenance‑free pack verified to meet OEM specifications.

This battery cartridge is comprised of two sealed lead‑acid cells configured to deliver approximately 816 VA h of energy storage at 24 V DC (two 12 V cells in series). The design supports hot‑swap service, enabling battery replacement without powering down the UPS load when the UPS supports hot‑swap battery modules.

Physically the RBC11 is a compact pack designed for vertical or shelf mounting inside compatible UPS chassis or external battery cabinets. Its sealed lead‑acid construction requires no routine maintenance.

Battery life expectancy under normal operating conditions is 3 to 5 years, depending on ambient temperature and duty cycle. Thermal stress accelerates degradation; consistent environment control increases service life.

This component only provides energy storage and does not include power conversion, regulation, or control functions. It must be installed in a UPS or battery cabinet designed for RBC11 packs. It is not suitable as a standalone UPS or as a direct‑connect DC UPS replacement.
