Overview

The APC APCRBC155 is a sealed lead-acid replacement battery cartridge for select APC Smart-UPS models. IT administrators, data center engineers, and network technicians deploy this cartridge to maintain continuous backup power for servers, storage devices, and networking equipment. The APCRBC155 ensures critical systems remain operational during power outages and supports controlled shutdown procedures when the original UPS battery reaches end-of-life.

Each APCRBC155 unit provides a nominal 12V DC output and supports hot-swappable replacement, allowing battery servicing without powering down the UPS or connected devices. Compatible Smart-UPS units automatically detect the cartridge, integrating runtime monitoring, battery health reporting, and end-of-life alerts through the UPS management interface.

The cartridge is suitable for both rack-mounted and tower UPS deployments, typically installed in server rooms, branch office racks, or edge IT cabinets. Its compact design allows straightforward installation while maintaining proper airflow and clearance within the UPS chassis.

UPS management integration provides real-time monitoring, runtime estimation, and proactive maintenance notifications, reducing the risk of unexpected UPS failure and ensuring continuous protection for connected infrastructure.

The APCRBC155 is not compatible with non-APC UPS systems, high-voltage industrial UPS models, or chemistries other than sealed lead-acid.
