Overview

The APC APCRBC109 is a sealed lead-acid replacement battery cartridge for select APC Smart-UPS models. IT administrators and data center engineers use this cartridge to ensure continuous backup power for servers, storage systems, and network devices during utility outages. The APCRBC109 addresses battery end-of-life events, allowing controlled shutdowns and maintaining operational continuity for connected equipment.

Each APCRBC109 unit provides a nominal 12V DC output and features a hot-swappable design, allowing replacement without shutting down the UPS or attached devices. Compatible Smart-UPS systems automatically detect the cartridge upon installation, enabling runtime monitoring, battery health reporting, and end-of-life alerts through the UPS management interface.

The cartridge is suitable for both rack-mounted and tower UPS deployments, typically installed in server rooms, branch offices, or edge computing cabinets. Its compact design allows easy insertion and secure connection within the UPS chassis while maintaining proper airflow and clearance.
