Overview

The APC AR8006A is a set of equipment support rails designed to mount non‑rack equipment inside compatible APC NetShelter enclosure frames. Rack designers, data center technicians, and facilities teams deploy these rails when installing equipment that cannot be directly mounted by standard rack ears but still needs secure placement within a 19‑inch enclosure. They solve the problem of supporting wide instruments, shelves, trays, or custom modules that lack built‑in rack mounting hardware.

Physically, this product consists of two sturdy metal rail elements that attach to the side mounting holes of the vertical rack rails in NetShelter SX or SV enclosures with 600 mm or 800 mm widths. The rails create a stable support plane for equipment up to approximately 17.7 in (45 cm) in width and up to a maximum static load of about 200 lb (91 kg).

The support rails are typically used in infrastructure racks where large but not traditionally rack‑mountable gear—such as monitors, battery trays, network shelves, or test equipment—must be installed without custom brackets.
