The APC AP8870 is a metered rack power distribution unit designed to provide zero-U vertical rack power distribution with active load monitoring for server, networking, storage, and edge equipment. IT power teams and data center operators deploy this PDU where real-time current and power visibility are required to support capacity planning, prevent overloads, and track energy consumption without consuming usable rack unit space.
