Overview

The APC AP7801B is a network‑managed switched power distribution unit intended for controlled power distribution and outlet management in rack environments. IT operations, data center, and infrastructure teams deploy this PDU where remote outlet sequencing, per‑outlet control, and load visibility are required to reboot hung devices, enforce power‑up orders, or isolate faults without physical rack access. As a switched unit, it enables administrators to individually power cycle connected equipment through secure network interfaces.

Designed for 200–208 V AC input, the AP7801B distributes power to a set of switched IEC receptacles sized for rack equipment power cords. Each outlet is individually controllable and sequencible, helping manage inrush current and maintain orderly system boots in dense rack installations. Aggregate current monitoring and configurable alarm thresholds provide load visibility, aiding teams in preventing overloads and coordinating capacity planning across racks.
