Overview

The APC AP9562 is a Basic Rack Power Distribution Unit (PDU) engineered to deliver AC power from a single branch circuit to multiple rack‑mounted devices. It is deployed by data center technicians, network engineers, and IT infrastructure teams to distribute utility power within server closets and equipment racks when advanced power monitoring or switching is not required. The unit does not provide UPS backup or power conditioning; its role is to reliably multiply a single upstream feed to several receptacles for active equipment.

This model supports 100 V–120 V AC input via a NEMA 5‑15P plug with a 15 A maximum current rating, yielding a total load capacity of approximately 1.8 kVA / 1800 VA for connected loads. It includes a 12 ft (3.7 m) integrated cord to reach rack power feeds while providing flexibility in typical rack layouts.

Power is distributed through ten (10) NEMA 5‑15R output receptacles, suitable for server, network, and storage equipment with 120 V power needs. The horizontal 1U rackmount form factor allows installation at the front or rear of standard 19‑inch racks with included rackmount brackets, optimizing cable routing and access to outlets.
