Overview

The APC AP8858NA3 is a metered rack power distribution unit (PDU) designed to distribute AC power and provide real‑time power metering for rack‑mounted IT infrastructure. It is used by data center electrical engineers, facilities teams, and network administrators who need visibility into power usage and load balancing across multiple connected devices. The unit is not a UPS and does not provide battery backup; its functionality is focused on distribution and monitoring of utility power.

This PDU accepts a nominal 208 V AC input via a NEMA L6‑20P connector, supporting a continuous current rating of 20 A. The vertical zero‑U form factor allows installation along the side of standard 19‑inch racks or enclosures, preserving horizontal rack space for servers, switches, storage, or other active equipment.
