Overview

The APC AP9566 is a basic rack power distribution unit (PDU) engineered to provide AC power distribution from a single upstream source to multiple connected devices within a rack. It is deployed by data center engineers, network administrators, and IT infrastructure teams where controlled distribution of 208 V AC power is needed for servers, switches, storage devices, and security appliances. This unit does not provide UPS backup, surge suppression, or active power conditioning; its function is to distribute utility power reliably across multiple outlets.

This model supports a 16 A continuous input at nominal 208 V AC, resulting in approximately 3.33 kVA total load capacity. Power is delivered through 12 IEC 60320 C13 output receptacles, allowing numerous devices within a single rack to be powered from one branch circuit. The PDU includes a 12 ft (3.66 m) cord with a NEMA L6‑20P plug to connect to rack power feeds.

Installation is intended for a 1U horizontal rackmount configuration that fits within standard 19‑inch rack enclosures. Mounting hardware is included to secure the PDU either at the front or rear of the rack, improving accessibility and cable routing.
